You can believe for every problem you are facing, be it for a wayward child or for another family member. It can be for a job to support your family, or enough food to feed them. It may be about changes recommended in your church doctrine and how they line up with biblical scriptures in the Bible. A big one is for our country to get back to living according to our constitution and our Christian heritage. .

Pride and Greed

I met a man in the airport on my way to North Carolina to attend my grandson’s high school graduation and we had an hour and a half lay over in Detroit. We got to talking and I asked him what he did for a living. He said he was an advocate for migrant workers in North Carolina’s tobacco fields to insure they were paid enough to support their families; and the farmers would make a big enough profit so they wouldn’t lose their farms. He was on his way to meet with the executives of the Campbell Company to encourage them to redo their budget to meet these goals. He had done it successfully many times.

I told him I wished the government would make it illegal to plant tobacco for it killed many people and I proceeded to tell him about a time when I was a senior in high school and I was living with Donna and her family. We attended a Friday night dance for teens and decided that we would stay up all night because we were being picked up at 4 a.m. to go perch fishing on the pier in Grand Haven, Michigan. We bought a pack of cigarettes to see what the big deal was all about smoking them. We sat at the dinning room table and lit up one after another until they were gone; Well, not really, for we never inhaled any smoke. Donna doesn’t remember it, but I do, for when I was around anyone who smoked I could taste it as if I was smoking it myself.

I said, ‘I wonder if they new they were killing thousands upon thousands of people?’. He said, ‘well there is that, but they did it anyway so they could feed their families. Perhaps they don’t know that the commandment that says ‘thou shalt not kill.’ The only reason to kill is to protect ourselves, our country, or to defend others.

Our government has looked the other way for many, many years. They received favors and lined their pockets with blood money and are still doing it. They are now trying to pass a law to prohibit selling them to miners. We have outlawed all kinds of drugs, but never the one that has claimed more lives than all the others combined. I have no facts to back this up, but I believe that I am right. We need to act today. We the people need to contact our government officials and put pressure on them to do it or lose their jobs. We have the power to do it if we are willing.

The good news is that you can be forgiven even for killing many people. All you have to do is confess your sins and ask Jesus to be Lord of your life. It is as easy as that. I worn you that you should not wait until you know that you are going to die before you do it. You must mean it. You can’t full God. He knows your heart. If you haven’t asked the Lord to be ruler over your life, why not do it now. You will nevee be the same. If you have backslidden He is always willing to restore you. Accept Jesus and the Holy God who created this wonderful place for us to live. Just look out your window and see the wonder of it all.

Say this prayer

Dear Lord I am a sinner

I don’t want to live this way any more

I ask you to forgive my sins (list them out loud)

I want you to be the ruler of my life

To live in my heart forever

To guide me in all righteousness

I thank you for coming into my heart

Please fill me with thy Holy Spirit

And give me the gift of tongues, Amen

Read the Bible everyday. Start with the Book of John. Read the Psalms and The Book of Proverbs. Find a church that will not compromise God’s Word. Upon arising in the morning ask God to guard your mouth that you will only speak and do what He leads you to do.

You must ask to speak in tongues in order to receive this gift: It is a way of praying the perfect will of God for the situation. Satan cannot understand what you are saying so he can’t try to stop your prayer from being fulfilled. You can ask the Spirit to reveal the prayer to you. He sometimes gives someone the gift of tongues without them asking for he has a special purpose for them to fulfill.

Put us in a downhill spiral that is having a terrible effect on our young people. Many of them are being killed in accidents and others have bursts of rage that raises all kinds of havoc Keep ACLJ in your prayers and give them your financial support. I don’t know that it is in the Bible, but I believe that we will be held accountable if we don’t uphold them in our prayers and give them financial support. We may be asked at the judgment seat what we did to turn our country back to our routes.
