We are living in the end times
And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; 29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Luke 17:26-30
There is a drawing of lines between Spirit filled Christians and those who don’t want any part of it. Our courts are voting against the will of the people. I think that in every state the people voted that marriage be defined as the union between one man and one woman; yet the courts have ruled to uphold same sex marriages. They say that it is their right to do as they please. Many people want to live their lives by what they desire at any given time. There are churches that are supporting same sex marriages and people’s right to do what they want; for a loving God wants them to be happy and content. They don’t want to hear about a Holy God who sent His Son, Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life to wash away our sins that we may live forever in heaven with Him. They want to worship their pleasures, (which is the worship of Baal, ‘pagan gods’) to have a good time and then try new things to fill the void; sliding down the slippery slope to hell.
It seems that I am writing about gloom and doom lately. It isn’t a fun thing to do, but I must write what the Lord tells me. We are paying the price for our disobedience by not living by His commandments, precepts, and judgments. We have unemployment, floods, drought, etc. We’ve legalized abortion for any reason. We have many single parent families with no father figure to oversee the household.
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the women is the man; the head of Christ is God.
I Corinthians 11:3
Some say that we may be heading for a repeat of the depression that started with the crash in 1929. Many people are out of work, yet people went out on black Friday in record numbers and surprised the retailers with all the sales they made. I wonder how many used their credit cards. They will have to pay for their purchases and if they can’t pay it on time it will cost them far more then they saved.
For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as He promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
Deuteronomy 15:6
To put this into context, we as individuals will be in bondage by the debt that we have incurred by spending what we don’t have. Let us remember what Christmas is all about. It is the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior; a time to worship Him with our prayers and thanksgiving for the great sacrifice He made so that we may live forever with Him in paradise. Yes, I love to give presents and I work hard to find nice things that I can afford. The Lord has led me to cut up all my credit cards except my debit card which I use to pay bills on line. I feel free as a bird. I am so glad that I followed the Lords leading. It is said that we need to have credit cards to have a line of credit. So maybe you need to keep one for that purpose; but if you cannot discipline yourself in the use of it, then it is better to cut it up to keep yourself out of trouble.
The Lord shall open unto thee His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in His season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 13 And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to the observe and to do them: 14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Deuteronomy 28:12
Remnant
Yet I have left Me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.
I Kings 19:18
We are the remnant and we pray daily to restore Godly principals in our nation. Our nation is paying the price for its disobedience. There are many scriptures that tell how countries throughout history have paid that price before being restored or destroyed.
We must uphold all those in authority, in every walk of life, to the highest office of our country, of our President and his Cabinet, Congress, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court. We do not know their hearts or what they believe, but our Lord and Savior does. He hears our prayers and He always answers them, doing what needs to be done to restore our country.
Wisdom for life:
My son attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out if it are the issues of life. 24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. 25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. 26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. 27Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Proverbs 4:20
If you haven’t asked the Lord to be ruler over your life, why not do it now. You will never be the same. If you have backslidden He is always willing to restore you. Accept Jesus and the Holy God who created this wonderful place for us to live. Just look out your window and see the wonder of it all.
Say this prayer
Dear Lord I am a sinner
I don’t want to live this way any more
I ask you to forgive my sins (list them out loud)
I want you to be the ruler of my life
To live in my heart forever
To guide me in all righteousness
I thank you for coming into my heart
Please fill me with thy Holy Spirit
And give me the gift of tongues, Amen
Read the Bible everyday. Start with the Book of John. Read the Psalms and the Book of Proverbs. Find a church that will not compromise God’s Word. Upon arising in the morning ask God to guard your mouth that you will only speak and do what He leads you to do.
You must ask to speak in tongues in order to receive this gift: It is a way of praying the perfect will of God for the situation. Satan cannot understand what you are saying so he can’t try to stop your prayer from being fulfilled. You can ask the Spirit to reveal the prayer to you. He sometimes gives someone the gift of tongues without them asking for he has a special purpose for them to fulfill.
P.S. I learned something the other day. God isn’t looking for perfection. He is looking for us to be obedient to the work He asks us to do. He may use our imperfection to encourage others. Now if I could only accept it and relax.
God Bless,
Rosemary
