Prayer Meetings

You are invited to attend prayer meetings on Tuesday nights to pray for the Israelites and the building of a prayer tower, according to Daniel Bolher’s 2005 Prophecy, so that the Great Lakes will not erupt. The prayer meetings are held on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm, at Greentree Apartments, 4320 Kalamazoo Ave. #224. For more information call 616.455.4784.

Rejection

I doubt that there is anyone that hasn’t felt rejected at some time in their life. It may be just their imagination, but the result is the same. I used to think that people didn’t care about what I had to say, for they just kept on talking as if I wasn’t even there. Years later I realized that they didn’t know that I was speaking. My voice is really soft, but to me it feels like I’m yelling all the time. People tell me I need to speak up.

Three kinds of rejection are verbal, physical and sexual. They are all terrible.

  • Physical abuse, although horrible, is the least destructive for usually the body will heal itself in time. On occasion it will cause some kind of deformity, but the scars are usually on the inside.

  • Verbal abuse is the next in line, for it destroys your feeling of self worth. Subconsciously you feel that you have no right to anything good. You make big plans and have every intention of fulfilling them successfully, but it doesn’t happen.

  • Sexual abuse is the most devastating of the three. Years ago I didn’t know the signs that are portrayed in someone who has been defiled sexually. As the Lord has taken me down the road of serving Him, and with the training I’ve received, I now recognize the warning signs of possible sexual abuse. You see it in the behavior of boys and girls. It continues to affect their adult life styles.

Years ago I overheard two men who went to school together and hadn’t seen each other in many years reminisce about the things they did together. I couldn’t help but overhear them and was enjoying it, but then they talked about a stage show they attended and I was shocked and felt dirty. They saw men having sex with animals and other things that are depraved. I never forgot it.

Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; it is detestable. 23 Do not have sexual relations with an animal and defile yourself with it. A woman must not present herself to an animal to have sexual relations with it; that is perversion. 24 Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I drive out before you have become defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. Leviticus 18:22-25

I asked the Lord if I had to write this and He said yes, this is a warning of what will happen to the United States if they do not turn back to Him. He is right, for we can’t turn on the TV without seeing pornography, be it advertisements or the programs. It doesn’t matter if it is when children are up and watching TV. The Family Channel has a disclaimer that says that it does not necessarily agree with what the 700 Club says and yet it has kid’s programs that promote every kind of bad behavior imaginable.

We are all called to be missionaries on a daily basis. We might not go to foreign lands. Our mission field is wherever we are and whomever we come in contact with. No one may ever know that we’ve done the Lord’s work, but He does, and we may never know if we’ve made a difference in someone’s life. We are to be an example to others by how we live our lives on a daily basis.

I prepare do it by putting on the whole armor of God the first thing in the morning and I say the Jabez prayer.

And Jabez called on the god of Israel saying,

“Oh, that You would Bless me indeed,

And enlarge my territory,

That Your hand would be with me,

And that You would keep me from evil.

That I may not cause pain!”

So God granted him what he requested.

I also give my mouth to the Lord, asking Him to guard it and that I will only speak what He has for me to say. Then I go on with the preparation for Spiritual warfare.

Spiritual preparations needed to be prepared:

  • You must wear a cross at all times, not as jewelry, but for protection against Satan. He doesn’t like the cross for He was deceived when Jesus rose alive and ascended into heaven.

  • Pray in tongues and for discernment.

  • Put on the whole armor of God daily.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with the truth, and having in the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Ephesians 6:10-17

You must give Jesus control over your life. If you haven’t, or if you have back slid, give Him control now. If you are one of those who said the sinner’s prayer, thinking now I can get on with life as usual, and you haven’t changed your way of living, think again. You cannot deliberately live in sin without being judged. You will be held accountable for your actions. You may not have time to repent. It must be from the heart. There is judgment.

Say this prayer

Dear Lord I am a sinner

I don’t want to live this way any more

I ask you to forgive my sins (list them out loud)

I want you to be the ruler of my life

To live in my heart forever

To guide me in all righteousness

I thank you for coming into my heart

Please fill me with the Holy Spirit

And give me the gift of tongues, Amen

Many have said that they don’t believe that a good God would keep them out of heaven, for He knows that we can’t do everything right. They say that we all interpret the Bible differently and that they do many good works, which makes them worthy of going to heaven. If that is so, then Jesus suffered that horrible death on the cross for nothing. Do you think that God would ask His only begotten son to suffer all that if it didn’t matter? God doesn’t want robots. He wants us to choose to be His children. We are all sinners. That is why He sent His son to die on the cross for us. We can not buy our way into heaven with good works. Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life,

You must ask to speak in tongues in order to receive this gift. It is a way of praying the perfect will of God for the situation. Satan cannot understand what you are saying so he can’t try to stop it from being fulfilled. You can ask the Spirit to reveal the prayer to you.

Upon arising in the morning ask God to guard your mouth that you will only speak and do what He leads you to do.

Now we are ready to start binding the forces of evil.

  • Bind the forces of temptation over the one you are helping as well as all government officials in Washington DC down to the lowest official in every area of our nation; that they will turn away from lobbyists with ungodly, self-serving agendas.

  • When you attend events which provide unclean entertainment, such as strippers and vulgar jokes, etc., excuse yourself and leave. That may lead others to follow suit.

  • Pray he/she will not fall into fornication or adultery, but will honor his/her marriage.

  • If you the see the one you are working for making ungodly alliances with those that are promoting Satan’s agenda, speak up and let him/her know that it is wrong. If they will not listen, then resign and leave.

You may get discernment about a situation that has been secret and you will be able to pray to stop it from coming to pass. You need to pray daily over everything that you prayed for and please encourage others to join with you or to set their own group to pray. This needs to be done nationwide.

If you realize you spoke or did something wrong, at the end of the day give it back to God, asking Him to right your wrongdoings and to turn them into good.

The Freedom of Chaplains

They want to get the issue settled that Chaplains may pray in the name of Jesus before the next election for we don’t know which party will have control and if the liberals are in control, it will never happen. They worked hard to get the filibuster stopped and they are now able to have an up or down vote for confirmation of judges, etc.

Those who are elected to office will decide who the judges will be. That will affect our freedom of free speech and how they will interpret our constitution.

They are working on so many issues that you need to go to their website or write them, asking for their newsletter. There is an all out war in our nation to remove anything Christian from our land. We must take it seriously before our voices will be silenced forever. That will lead to the destruction of our country. God did not spare His people, Israel. He will not spare us.

Dr. James Kennedy’s Center For Reclaiming America

Coral Ridge Ministries is under construction. Their new president, Brian Fisher, who majored in finance in college, always felt that he would one day be a minister of a church and was getting ready to enroll in a seminary college. At that time Coral Ridge was looking for a new director. The Lord told him to apply and he thought this can’t be right. “I’m too young [34] and I’m not qualified”. But he finally sent in his résumé and he ended up being one of those being considered for the position. He couldn’t believe it. He got the job. He said that he believes that things will be so different that they will hardly be able to believe it. They will go world wide and reach untold numbers bringing them into the kingdom of God.

Some Things We Need to be Aware Of

Pray for Israel and all those involved in the war in the Middle-East. Make sure your church is upholding them in prayer, not just in passing but holding prayer meetings just to stand in prayer for them.

Pray that Jerusalem will not be divided and that the Christian Holy Sites, and Judea and Samaria would not be turned over to the Palestinians, which would put those areas under Islamic rule of law.

  • That we will approve judges that will uphold the constitution and the Godly principles that our country was founded on.

  • For President Bush and all elected officials:

    • That they will seek the wisdom of the Bible about Israel and what happens to countries who
      take land away from them.

    • That they will have discernment in every situation, seeking the wisdom of God in every
      situation, to do just as they are directed and to defy all odds in total obedience to God’s
      directions just as they did in the Old Testament.

    • That there will be order restored in Iraq and that there is discernment as to the involvement of other countries so that the Iraqis will be able to form their own government.
    • That they will hear the voice of God about Israel and Palestine and perform only what He leads them to do.

  • For our soldiers, civilians, and all involved in the aftermath of the war.

  • To encourage our churches and all we come in contact with that we must repent of our wrong doings. I wrote before that the church must to be spotless and clean before the return of our Lord Jesus.

  • For all children:

    • A shield of protection over their minds.

    • For the shield of protection to surround them.

    • That they will learn how to take care of their bodies.

    • That they will have positive influences in their lives daily.

    • That they become involved with Christian groups who seek the presence of God.

  • That the Supreme Court will turn our country back to honoring our constitution. Some of the things that may be affected are:

    • That we be able to stop legalized abortion.

    • Sodomy and homosexual marriage will not be legalized.

    • Political correctness will be removed from our schools.

    • Churches will be able to speak the Word of God without censor.

    • Pornography will be banned on the internet so that our children will be protected from it.

There is revival worldwide and in our own country. In spite of all the wickedness that is rampant there are many that have turned to the Lord. That number will increase like a snowball coming down the side of a mountain, gaining speed and snow as it comes, exploding in every direction, gathering converts into the fold.

Pray daily and whenever anyone or any situation comes to mind, for it may be the Holy Spirit prompting which may be for protection or wisdom needed at that very moment. God said, “If my people will turn to me in prayer, then I will answer them.” This is a spiritual battle that is being fought in the heavenly realm. Let us fight Satan with everything we have. Draw the battle lines and stand, using the armor of God as our weapon. We must be about breaking curses and casting out demons. They are many and they will not give up easily.
